Fashion Ko...

Her very own fashion journal, traveling through time, with no boundaries... Sexy Nomad is the extreme type. She doesn't go out of the house without anything funky to wear. She doesn't care if it's "in" or not as long as she's comfy and she can be her real gypsy/bohemian self. On the other hand, when she's at home, she can wear old rags or go naked for all she cares. But that's another story…

Mineral Flowers Facial Kit from Israel

August 27, 2010

It may be because of stress or lack of sleep for the past few weeks, but my skin has been breaking up. I thought of buying Proactive which was the only product that proved to be effective when I am having facial skin problems. But before I was able to do so, a blessing came to my lap.

I recently received a facial gift pack made in Israel, made of all organic materials that do not harm our planet Earth — Mineral Flowers Facial Kit. I am liking the effect so far. My blemishes are slowly fading and my pimples are drying up.  My skin feels soft and supple and hopefully the good effects last.

According to the one who gave this to me, the kit is being sold at Watson’s for Php1500.00. That’s still a lot of dough and I thank the Universe for giving me what I need for the moment at no cost.

Check  the full story of how I got my free Mineral Flowers Facial Kit.

The Expendables - Action Flick with Style

August 16, 2010

Have you watched The Expendables yet? Man, if you haven’t, I’m telling you now to go watch it. It’s not your usual action flick laden with too much computer graphics. It’s actually done in an old fashioned kind of way that I like, with tons of real, genuine and unadulterated fight scenes filled with real hand-to-hand combat, things blowing up, and blood oozing at various trajectories. In short, it was awesome!

Sylvester Stallone proved himself well as the producer, writer and director of this film. He made a great decision by forming an all-action star cast that is hard to beat - Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Steve Austin and Eric Roberts. Add to that the fact that Stallone has definitely gotten the merciless mercenary formula right! The style was even considered old-fashioned and in its simplicity, this action-packed, surprisingly funny and heartfelt movie truly captured what the audience wants in an action film — real action, macho men, blood and lots of things bowing up every five seconds!

The Expendables is definitely a movie to watch, even for people who are not much into action flicks like me! Heck, I never imagined myself enjoying the movie but there I was enjoying every minute of it! One of my favorite scenes was this cameo appearance by Arnold  Schwarzenegger. No more than five minutes into the movie, almost everybody at the cinema was already guffawing at the scene!

Here’s the traler if you haven’t seen it yet:

Modeling My Own Inexpensive Apparel

August 9, 2010

I remember Janette Total telling me before to try having my own line of clothes. She loved everything that I wore and showed here on my blog that she was wondering why I haven’t been selling any of my clothes yet. I told her that with my very hectic schedule, where will I find the time. Months after that, I got the next best thing — selling clothes that I personally like and at very affordable prices. Thanks to my supplier, my clothes shopping has never been the same. Plus,  I get to share these clothes with anybody’s who’s interested in buying similar clothes you see in branded shops but at wholesale price.

The catch? There’s really no catch. If you’re familiar with Folded and Hung, YRYS, Plains and Prints, Forme, Unica Hija, Get Laud and many more, all these shops get pretty much the same fabric from pretty much the same supplier and have them sewn by more or less the same tailors/factories. The same story can be told about the clothes that we sell. Ours of course do not have tags as they are unbranded. This means that they do not benefit from expensive marketing campaigns; they are not advertised and they definitely do not have image models to show them off to the world.

Well, that doesn’t include me of course. Hehe. See, I’ve pretty much taken it upon myself to be the unofficial image model of the clothes that I am selling. I am not a professional model. I’m no celebrity. But I do believe I have the confidence to actually pull it off. Of course the husband insists I look like a star. So who am I to argue with that right? Hehe. ^_^

Below is the link of my clothes fan page. If you choose to LIKE it or become its fan, you will get 5% discount on all your future purchases. The fan page features the kinds of clothes that I have sold both in the past and at present.

 http://www.facebook.com/sexynomadapparel

Below is the link of the catalog or album where I upload photos of clothes that I am currently selling. Click this link to see what clothes are currently for sale and to get information on how to buy one. I have dresses, blouses, shorts, baby dresses and hair accessories. Check them out now.

Last Few Pieces Bagsak Presyo Sale:Accessories, Tops, Dresses

I am also looking for wholesale buyers I can supply. Minimum order of 60 pieces (assorted clothing items). You can choose any style on my catalog (http://www.facebook.com/sexynomadapparel), or design your own and we will have our tailors sew them for you. For one style, minimum of 10 dozens, assorted colors. Price range per piece (depending on the item you want) is from 55-130pesos.

HAPPY SHOPPING!

The Beauty of Glass Jewelry

August 5, 2010

I’ve been making beaded accessories since 2002. Some things that make this hobby of mine so interesting are the kinds of materials that I use when making all sorts of accessories. I particularly love using glass beads. They have this certain shimmer that makes any kind of accessory so much more beautiful as it sparkles against the light and brings more charm and beauty to the one who is wearing it.

But then when I saw this Murano Glass Jewelry, I was just wowed. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. They give color a whole new meaning, and give sparkle a whole new dimension. I’m pretty sure it will make anyone who beads here in  our neighborhood store, which I doubt. I might probably just buy this particular piece as it really caught my heart.

And speaking of heart, I also loved this Murano Glass Pendant below. It just looks so exquisite. I bet it can even go with the gold necklace that I have here at home. I noticed that there are a wide variety of choices when it comes to glass pendants, each one with its own captivating quality and beauty. If you’re looking for the same kinds of materials for your personal glass jewelry collection, I suggest you look at their site as I will do the same.

Spread the love for glass jewelry! ^_^

There is More to Jewelry Than Meets the Eye

July 21, 2010

If food is the way to a man’s heart, jewelry is the way to a woman’s. Wearing something pretty and nice, especially one that is sparkling like a silver bracelet, can really add a beautiful flair to a woman’s getup, or any person’s sense of style for that matter.

It’s no wonder then why many ladies go crazy over a guy who buys them gifts like a necklace, a pair of earrings, or a bracelet jewellery. Even during the ancient times, jewelry have always been a part of a woman’s sense of fashion and style. They make one feel more special, beautiful and alive.

But there is more to accessories like this than just adding elegance and beauty to a person’s attire.  Some pieces, like a charm bracelet for instance, can add so much more meaning to your life. Jewelry made of semi-precious stones that are believed to possess healing and other supernatural powers, can make anybody who wears it healthier, more confident, a magnet for attraction and so much more.

Try wearing one today. You can either buy from a variety of choices available in the market or make some beautiful pieces for yourself. See how it affects you. Mine sure makes me feel more vibrant and happy. Wear one today!

Time for a New Hairstyle

July 16, 2010

Looking at my old photos, I suddenly miss donning a different hairstyle. I wonder what I’d look like if my hair is a lot shorter and with a different color.  I browsed at some trendy looks online and found http://www.joico.com. The hair cuts they feature are so glamorous. I feel like I’d look like one of those popular celebrities wearing a gorgeous hairstyle.

The site also features a wide array of hair products for all types of hair and you can even locate a salon of your choice. How cool is that?

Maybe it’s time for me to try a different look and make some bold new statement with a color that will suit me well. What do you think? Are you in need of a new hairstyle too?

My AyosDito.ph Experience

July 7, 2010

Aren’t we lucky to be living in an era when everything we want and need can be found online? This seems to be true for buyers and seller alike, as well as those people who are curious to know what stuff are being sold and advertised on the internet. Whether you want to buy a new house or sell your old car or whatever it is that you require at the moment, before you head outside your home and exert effort in going from one shop to the next,  you can achieve the same goal right at the comfort of your own home.

I was able to experience this thing, with more ease than I expected, at AyosDito.ph. I posted an ad about our house in Bulacan which we needed to sell. At the end of my transaction, I was asked to enter a password and in just a few seconds (after email verification), I became a member of AyosDito.ph. My ad will be published after they make sure that I did everything right in their terms and conditions. It was so easy.

I also found out that indeed, there are tons of gizmos, gadgets, knick knacks and other valuable items being sold and offered on this site that come from different parts of the Philippines. How awesome is that?! I also checked their classified ads. I was curious about the available jobs online that are appropriate for my age and skills. So just in case I feel like job hunting again, I would know what to expect in the job market. I am happy to find out that I will never run out of jobs to apply for.

AyosDito.ph is indeed a helpful and easy site to use. Everything is there. I can buy, I can sell and I can even find job opportunities. It’s like an all-in-one site perfect for people like me who are living very busy lives.  So if you have something to sell, purchase or job to apply for, look no further. Go to  AyosDito.ph and see how it can help you.

Embroidery & Beading - Perfect New Hobbies

June 28, 2010

I am into crafts these days and one of the things I’d like to delve in someday is embroidery. I used to do this when I was a lot younger and I’m planning to do it again. The act of embroidering is relaxing and soothing. It gives me something to do; it enhances my creative juices; and it makes me all the more productive with my time.

I have found several embroidery kits at KitStitch.com This finished product of a baby and a cat side by side is just so cute amd I wanna make one too!

They also have beadwork kits which is excellent because I am into beading myself.  Look at this finished product above. It’s a group of ballet dancers made of beads. How gorgeous! So what do you thhink of this newfound hobby of mine? Are you into embroidery and beading too? How it is for you?

Top Cheap Insurance For Everyone

It is not enough to just be fashionable, gorgeous and pretty all the time. We need to think of our pretty properties and our future too. Having said this, are you thinking of looking for a company that can give you the insurance that you need? If you’re like me and it is that season of the year when you need to take care of insurances for your house, your car, yourself and your family, don’t fret. Even with your busy schedules, you can find the insurance company that will cater to your all your insurance needs. I know I did.

I found TopCheapInsurance.com. They make it easy for people like me who’s always so busy at work and can barely find time to eat, much less scout for an insurance company. I recommended it to my cousin too and she’s finding it very easy to get the information she needs so she can also make a wise decision.  What we both need is an insurance company that can give us  instant auto insurance quotes online. We crave for convenience in almost all aspects of our lives and looking for house and car insurances is not an exception. It’s a good thing that TopCheapInsurance.com also gives free auto insurance quotes! Now, I can make a better decision as to what kind of insurances I will be getting. And because all their rates are very affordable, why would I look somewhere else.

Take a look for yourself and find out. You may have just stumbled into a gold mine.

About Me

The Sexy Nomad is what she wears...

HOW MY FASHION BLOG STARTED...

I was thinking of putting up a sub blog or probably just a new tag about fashion (street fashion, beach fashion, mall fashion, party fashion. etc.) But mostly, MY SENSE OF FASHION. Teehee. It will feature the Sexy Nomad in its vainest form. Eventually, I'll look into my network as to who wears what and where can we get those pretty little things we call clothes & accessories. Hmmm... let's just see where this goes. ^_^

P.S.

I sometimes get compensated for some of my posts.
