KECCi Body Bag / Backpack
January 17, 2010As I was backpacking in Southeast Asia last Jan.1-8, I couldn’t help but think about getting a sturdy backpack for my travels… one that is not too big and not too small either… one where I can fit a lot of stuff (clothes, food, water, laptop even plus some more space for shopping) without needing to check-in my pack coz it is now very expensive to check-in your luggage. Like in Singapore, Vietnam and Kuala Lumpur, even if you just check-in 1 kg of bag, you will be charged around $25-49 each bag). So getting a backpack was definitely on my to-buy list this year so I can go on more budget backpacking trips in the future.
As it happens, we saw a backpack that we liked while we were in Living Well yesterday. This body backpack was on 50% discount. Peter was the one who saw it. He always has eyes for best buys so I went to where he was and looked at the bags. They were selling for only Php475.00 each. I know that sounds crazy so I went into my O.C. mode again and began scrutinizing the product. It seemed like this bag has a catch. I got one off the rack, took it out of its plastic, opened all its pockets, zippers, velcrows and analyzed the material and fabric. Just like the Jeep camera holster, this KECCi body backpack looked and felt sturdy. Peter got another one and scrutized it too. We even adjusted each bag to fit our backs. It wasn’t long before we finally bought two. Come take a look!
KECCi body Bag has plenty of pockets.
It has an extra bag inside for laundry and what-nots.
It also comes with its own kikay kit.
There’s room to easily reach your cellphone and wallet and a space for passport and documents.
There’s even space inside for a standard-sized laptop
This can be used to protect the laptop inside.
The size is just great!
Okay, here’s the catch, when I surfed the net for KECCi bags, I found out that we actually bought a Daddy’s/Mommy’s Baby/Diaper bag . That’s why there were a lot of pockets, that’s why there’s this soft rubbery mat which I thought is for laptop protection. Is this the universe’s way of telling us to go have a baby? LOL. Oh well. What’s important is the bag is sturdy and can serve a lot of purpose. Baby and otherwise. ^_^
Jeep DSLR Holster / Camera Bag
Yesterday, my hubby and I went to Mall of Asia (MOA) to have dinner with our girlfriends. We did not have plans to go shopping at all. But as my Gfs and I were chatting away, Peter would sneak out and go to Northface and other expensive boutiques to check out some expensive stuff. On our way to the parking lot, we passed by Living Well and saw that they were on sale. We bought a couple of bean bags from them before and we know they usually have great sales. My hubby asked if we can see what’s inside and so I obliged him. It wasn’t long before he spotted the bag section. He pointed to me this DSLR holster. Of course the first thing I looked at was the price (I’m always like that coz no matter how good the product seems to be, if I believe that it’s way too expensive for its value then I won’t even consider buying it). Well, lo and behold this camera bag is being sold for only Php400.00. Okay, I started to get interested. I started to fully scrutinize the thing. You can ask the salesman there, I did spend a considerable amount of time looking at all the pockets, analyzing the stitches, inspecting the material, trying it on, getting our DSLR in the car (it was my hubby who went back to the car, got our Nikon D40 and went back to Living Well just so we can see for ourselves if it will fit inside the bag…it did!) and scrutinizing it all over again. We even went to another store that sells expensive DSLR holster (their products are priced between P3,000-5,000) and I was stunned that except for the brand, the make and material seem to be very similar to Jeep’s. When I checked the internet, I found out that Jeep is a European brand, and is a registered trademark of DaimlerChrysler Corporation. Wow! And I’m getting it on sale for only P400! Wee!!! So we went back to Living Well and finally bought the Jeep DSLR Holster. This is what I call a very, very good buy. Come look and see:
